Nathan Huntress was born at New York probably between 1800 and 1810.1 He was the son of Robert Huntress and Susan (-----). Nathan Huntress married at Morgan County, Virginia, on 20 March 1833, Charlotte Foutz, age 19, daughter of William Foutz.3
The assignment of Robert and Susan as his parents is speculative, Robert was the only Huntress listed in the 1820 census in New York, and in 1880 William F Huntress stated his father was born in New York - this is the only link - an IGI states that his name was Nathan and that he was born 1810 in Morgan County, Virginia, but this information looks unreliable.1
