     Rhoda Huntress was born at Waterborough, York County, Maine, on 23 March 1791.2,3,4 She was the daughter of William Huntress and Elizabeth Rhoda Warren. Rhoda Huntress married (intentions) at Waterborough, York County, Maine, on 15 January 1814, at age 22, Capt. Samuel Carll, age 31, (both) of Waterborough, son of Capt. Nathaniel Carll and Sarah (--?--), and father of her brother Robert's wife Mercey.5,1,6 Rhoda Huntress died on 17 October 1885 at age 94 years, 6 months and 24 days.3

     Richard Huntress was baptized at Falmouth, Cumberland County, Maine, on 7 July 1768.2 He was the son of Ensign Christopher Huntress and Elizabeth Pearson. Richard Huntress married at Conway, Strafford County, New Hampshire, on 19 April 1789, at age 20, Anna Carter ceremony performed by Nathaniel Porter, clergyman.1 Richard Huntress died probably after 1810.3
     He resided at Conway, Strafford County, New Hampshire.4 There is no proof that these children were sons of Richard5 except in the fact that one of them bears his name, that both were of Bartlett at the time of their marriage, and that unless they were children of Richard5 they are unaccounted for. [HWH]4 Richard "Hunt" was listed as the head of a family on the 1790 Census at Bartlett, Grafton County, New Hampshire. In his family were one male over 16 years of age (Richard), none under, and two females (Anna and unk).5,4 Richard "Huntriss" was listed as the head of a family on the 1800 Census at Bartlett, Grafton County, New Hampshire. In his family were two males under 10 years of age (James and Richard), one between 26 and 45 (Richard), one over 45 (Christopher), four females under 10 (Sarah L and unk), one between 26 and 45 (Anna), and one over 45 (Elizabeth).6 Richard Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census at Bartlett, Coos County, New Hampshire.      Richard Edward Huntress was born at Bradford, Essex County, Massachusetts, or Haverhill on 26 June 1926.5,2,6,4,7 He was the son of Royal Percival Huntress and Flossie Jane Crosby.4,3 Richard Edward Huntress (of Plaistow, New Hampshire) married, first, at parsonage Hampstead, Hampstead, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on 22 January 1947, at age 20, Barbara Lucille Currier, of Atkinson, New Hampshire, daughter of Eugene Everett Currier and Flora Isabelle George, ceremony performed by Rev. W. Winslow Lyon of Hampstead, New Hampshire.4 Richard Edward Huntress and Barbara Lucille Currier were divorced before 21 October 1964.8 Richard Edward Huntress died at Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 4 December 2002 of acute myocardial infarction and also had chronic renal failure and Parkinson's Disease at age 76.5,7,9 He was buried at Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 7 December 2002.4,9

      Mr. Huntress worked in the local shoe industry, then began working as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in 1959. He retired from the Plaistow Post Office in 1979 and previously worked at the Atkinson and Westville post offices. Born in Haverhill and raised in Merrimac, Mass., he attended Haverhill High School. During World War II, Mr. Huntress was a motor machinist's mate in the Navy. He was a resident of Atkinson for more than 50 years. He was a member of the National Letter Carriers Association and attended Kingston Congregational Church.9 He was a soldier in World War II.9,5 Richard Edward Huntress was a mechanics helper on 22 January 1947.10 He resided at 15 East Road, Atkinson, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, between 29 April 1953 and 3 May 1990.4,9,11,12,13

     Robert Huntress was born at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on 20 March 1747.3 He was the son of George Huntress and Sarah Lang.2 Robert Huntress married say 1765, Mary (--?--).4,5 Robert Huntress died after 1772.

     Robert Huntress was baptized at First Church, Berwick, York County, Maine, on 16 December 1771.1 He was the son of Darling Huntress and Love Hearl. Robert Huntress married at First Church, South Berwick, York County, Maine, on 29 October 1795, at age 23, Hannah Wadleigh, daughter of John Wadleigh and Elizabeth (--?--), and sister of his brother Ichabod's wife Mary, and sister of his sister Abigail's husband John, ceremony performed by Rev. John Thompson.2,3,4 Robert Huntress died 5 after 7 August 1820.6
     He resided at Berwick, York County, Maine. "Robert Huntress, whose wife was Hannah Wadleigh, came from Berwick to Shapleigh, thence to Hiram, early in the present century, and settled on a farm on the northeast side of Ossipee river, near the Warren bridge. He d. suddenly many years ago; his widow d. about 1856.".7 Robert Huntress was a farmer at Hiram, Oxford County, Maine.8 Robert "Huntriss" was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census at Shapleigh, York County, Maine. In his family were two males less than 10 years of age (John, Darling and Samuel), two between 10 and 16 (Temple and William), one between 26 and 45 (Robert), two females less than 10 years of age (Elizabeth and Frances), and one between 26 and 45 (Hannah). Evidently one of the boys were not enumerated.9 By his father's will he had 30 acres at York, ME 8 March 1815. Robert "Huntrass" was listed as the head of a family on the 1820 Census at Hiram, Oxford County, Maine. In his family were two males under 10 years of age (Robert and unk), one between 10 and 16 (Samuel), one between 16 and 18 (Darling), one between 16 and 26 (Temple, William or John), one female under 10 (Hannah), one between 16 and 26 (Frances, 15), and one between over 45 (Hannah, 44).10

     Robert Huntress was born at Waterborough, York County, Maine, on 30 April 1793.2,3,4 He was the son of William Huntress and Elizabeth Rhoda Warren. Robert Huntress married, first, at Waterborough, York County, Maine, on 5 October 1822, at age 29, Mercey Carll, age 19, (both) of Waterborough, daughter of Capt. Samuel Carll and Charity Hamilton.5 Robert Huntress married, second, by Orlando Bagley Justice of the Peace, at Waterborough, York County, Maine, on 29 November 1827, at age 34, Eunice Knight, age 26, (both) of Waterborough, daughter of Nathaniel Knight and Hannah Cluff.6,7,1 Robert Huntress died on 9 February 1860 at age 66.8 He was buried at Town House Cemetery, Waterboro, York County, Maine.

In his family were two males under 5 years of age (George Freeman and Albion Paris), one between 10 and 15 (James Knight), one between 40 and 50 (Robert), one between 50 and 60 (William), one female, between 5 and 10 (Louise Jane), one between 15 and 20 (Betsey Warren), and one between 30 and 40 (Eunice).      He and (Father of Charles Huntress) Huntress were possibly relatives. Robert Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census at New York City, New York County, New York. In his family were three males, 0-10 (Nathan and unks), one 26-45 (Robert) and one female 16-26 (Susan).6 Robert Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1820 Census at 10th Ward, New York, New York County, New York. In his family were two males under 10 years of age (George and Henry), one between 10 and 16 (Nathan), one between 26 and 45 (Robert, 47), and one female between 26 and 45 (Susan).7 He resided at New York in 1822.8 In 1822 Robert Huntress of New York, son of Robert late of Portsmouth, conveyed to William Shaw of Portsmouth all his interest in the estate devised by Daniel Huntress to the children of his brothers and sisters and Susan, wife of Robert, released dower.9,8

     Robert Huntress was born at Newburyport, Essex County, Massachusetts, in 1776.2,3 He married, first, (intentions) at Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 20 July 1799, Judith Fredericks, daughter of Jabez Fredericks and Judith Lufkin.4,5 Robert Huntress (of Portsmouth) married, secondly, (intentions) at Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 30 July 1807, Nancy Elwell.4 Robert Huntress was buried at Fifth Parish, Sandy Bay, Essex County, Massachusetts.2 He died at Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts, in 1830.6

     Robert Huntress was born probably at Deering, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, in 1799.2,3,4,5,6,7,8 He was the son of John Huntress and Amanda Hadlock.1 Robert Huntress married probably at Lyman, Grafton County, New Hampshire, say 1824, Huldah Hadlock, daughter of Samuel Hadlock and Miriam Hadlock, and sister of his brother Elijah's wife Elmira. Robert Huntress was buried at Union Cemetery, Risley Road, DeKalb Junction, St. Lawrence County, New York.
