[8 Aug 1909, Rochester.] Saying that William Huntress had made remarks that reflected upon the character of his wife, Frank Thompson, of No. 23 Stone street, is said to have stabbed Huntress in the forehead last night. The latter received a cut that require eight stitches to close. Thompson was arrested by Patrolman John A. Doyle and locked up at the Franklin street station on a charge of assault in the second degree.
The two men and their families live in the same building. For some time, it is said, the families have not got along well together. When Thompson appeared at the Huntress apartments last night he demanded that Huntress retract statements he was accused of having made, under penalty of being whipped.
