      He was a graduate of Annapolis High School. While working as an elevator installer, he was discovered for his singing voice. Roland Bond was his voice teacher. While reading his Bible in Feb. 1957, he accepted the Lord as his Saviour. The Lord directed him to attend Bob Jones University, where he received his BA, MA and PhD, and later did additional studies at the Universities of Maryland and North Carolina. In addition to pastoring churches in South Carolina, Maryland, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, he helped to establish a college and several Christian schools. While pastoring in Kentucky, he held positions as Director of the Neighborhood Youth Corps and Mental Health Agency. For his work with the youth of Kentucky, he was made a Kentucky Colonel by the Governor. He will always be remembered for his beautiful singing voice which he used in his ministry and concert work.
He was a member of Good News Baptist Church.¹       He graduated from Bob Jones University at Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina, with a bachelor of arts, Bible, from the School of Religion on 31 May 1961.³ He resided at Taylors, Greenville County, South Carolina, between 1993 and 2000.⁵

     Vernon Dominic Love was born at Charles County, Maryland, on 4 June 1904.^2,3 He married on 28 July 1933, at age 29, Helen Dangerfield Humphries, age 22, daughter of Walter Raymond Humphries and Amanda May Huntress.^1,4 Vernon Dominic Love died at Edgewater, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, in February 1969 at age 64.²
