     Caroline Wainwright Lowell was born at Small Point, Phippsburg, Sagadahoc County, Maine, on 7 February 1878.3,4,5,6,7,2 She was the daughter of Charles Orrington Lowell and Hannah Margaret Gibson.2 Caroline Wainwright Lowell married at South Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, on 4 June 1903, at age 25, Frederick William Huntress, age 27, son of Charles Edwin Huntress and Mary Eva Dixon, ceremony performed by W. P. Lord, Clergyman, South Portland.2 Caroline Wainwright Lowell died at South Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, on 8 January 1972 at age 93.8,7 She was buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Portland, Cumberland County, Maine.7
      "She was a great lover of books and she grew up to become a school teacher after graduating from Gorham Normal School. Caroline kept papers and diaries on the happenings of the Lowells which were put into book form by her children, especially by her son Keith. The book is called Only a Small Point."7 She resided at South Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, on 4 June 1903.2 She and Frederick William Huntress resided at 53 Chase Street, South Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, on 12 September 1918.9

     Charles Orrington Lowell was born at Phippsburg, Sagadahoc County, Maine, on 4 March 1839.2 He was the son of Tolman Lowell and Almira Shaw.2 Charles Orrington Lowell married at Vassalborough, Kennebec County, Maine, on 23 November 1871, at age 32, Hannah Margaret Gibson, daughter of Samuel Gibson and Mary Ann Getchell.3,4 Charles Orrington Lowell died of hypostatic pneumonia with a cerebral hemorrage contributing at 53 Chase St, South Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, on 31 March 1918 at age 79.1
