     William Marr was born at Kittery, York County, Maine, say 1758.1,2 He was the son of Surplus Marr and Sarah Hammett.1 William Marr married at Second Church, Berwick, York County, Maine, on 16 April 1786, Lydia Huntress, (both) of Berwick, daughter of George Huntress and Patience Hearl, and brother of her sister Mehitable's husband Thomas, ceremony performed by Rev. Matthew Merriam.3,2,4,5 William Marr died circa 1830.6,7
      William Marr was a yeoman at South Berwick, York County, Maine.2 He was a soldier in The Revolution in 1777 serving eight months under Captain Hodsdon and again at Falmouth in 1780.8 William "Marrs" was listed as the head of a family on the 1790 Census at Berwick, York County, Maine. In his family were one male under 16 (William), one over (William) and one female (Lydia).9 William Marrs was listed as the head of a family on the 1800 Census at Berwick, York County, Maine. In his family were one male between 10 and 16 years of age, one over 45, one female between 10 and 16, and one over 45.10 He was a Revolutionary pensioner.2 William "Marrs" was listed as the head of a family on the 1820 Census at South Berwick, York County, Maine. This enumeration may have also been William Marr, Jr..11 His will dated 21 March 1825, proved 3 May 1830, mentions his only his wife Lydia, executrix, Moses Cooper, Oliver Marr and George Plaisted, all of South Berwick, ME, sureties.12,2

     Mary Ann Marston was born at Holderness, Grafton County, New Hampshire, on 10 June 1833.2,1 She was the daughter of David Marston and Sarah Piper.1 Mary Ann Marston married on 23 April 1851, at age 17, Horace L. Huntress, age 22, son of John Pickering Huntress and Mary Kimball.3 Mary Ann Marston died of Aortic Regurgitation of Heart at Holderness, Grafton County, New Hampshire, on 25 April 1899 at age 65 years, 10 months and 15 days.1 She was buried at East Holderness, Grafton County, New Hampshire.1
