     Rhoda French Maxfield was born at Starksboro, Addison County, Vermont, on 23 May 1820.1 She was the daughter of Ezra French Maxfield and Abigail Philbrick.1 Rhoda French Maxfield married at Laconia, Belknap County, New Hampshire, on 5 December 1843, at age 23, John Davis, age 35, son of Nathaniel Davis and Polly Stevens. Rhoda French Maxfield died of breast cancer at 79 Gold Ave, Laconia, Belknap County, New Hampshire, on 28 January 1909 at age 88.2 She was buried at Union Cemetery, Laconia, Belknap County, New Hampshire, on 30 January 1909.2
     She resided at Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island, on 19 July 1905.3
