     Julia A Pierce was born at Barnstead, Belknap County, New Hampshire, or Barrington, N.H. on 31 January 1840.1,6,4,7 She was the daughter of William H. Pierce and Charlotte L Langley.1 Julia A Pierce married at Barnstead, Belknap County, New Hampshire, on 7 May 1864, at age 24, Serg't. Henry Orin Huntress, age 24, son of Noah Christopher Huntress and Sarah Elizabeth Gowen, ceremony performed by W. O. Carr, Minister.8 Julia A Pierce died of adynemia at Newburyport, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 18 September 1906 at age 66 years, 7 months and 17 days.4,7,9 She was first buried at Riverview Cemetery, Barnstead, Belknap County, New Hampshire, on 21 September 1906.4,9
      Julia A Pierce was a teacher.7 On 7 June 1897, Julia, widow of Henry O. Huntress, who served in Company I of the 1st Maine Cavalry, filed for a Civil War widows pension from the state of New Hampshire.10 Her will dated 12 October 1899, proved 17 Dec 1906, names her children as below.11 Julia A Pierce resided at 4 Orange Street, Newburyport, Essex County, Massachusetts, on 18 September 1906.9

     Peter Pierce was born say 1786. He married at Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on 17 January 1807, Sarah Shapleigh, age 27, of Portsmouth, mariner, daughter of John Shapleigh and Catherine Huntress.1 Peter Pierce died before 17 October 1828.
     Peter Peirce was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census at Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. In his family were one male under 10 (unk), one 16-26 (Peter), and one female (16-26) Sarah.2
