Mrs. MacMartin also was a volunteer at Christ Church Child Center, a school for handicapped children in Potomac, and at Woodmore Elementary School in Mitchellville. She also volunteered with the Prince George's County Warm Nights Program for homeless people.
Her interests included birding and gardening. On the Eastern Shore, where she had a vacation home in Royal Oak, Md., she was a member of the Friends of Wye Mill and the Wildfowl Trust of North American.⁶ She resided at District of Columbia between 1951 and 1952.³ She and James Alexander MacMartin resided at Potomac, Montgomery County, Maryland, on 17 April 1987.¹
