William Henry Ray was born at McIndoe's Falls, Vermont, on 1 June 1858. He was the son of Benjamin Franklin Ray and Sarah Oakes. William Henry Ray married on 12 June 1880, at age 22, Martha Hunt Hutchinson, age 21, daughter of Dea. Henry Hutchinson and Charlotte Hunt.1 William Henry Ray died on 30 July 1889 at age 31.
