     Henry Seward was born probably at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, circa 1674.1 He was the son of John Seward and Agnes (--?--). Henry Seward married at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on 21 June 1694, Mary Huntress, of Portsmouth, ship builder, daughter of George Huntress and Mary Natt, ceremony performed by Rev. John Pike.2,3,4 Henry Seward died at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, between on 29 May 1734 when he made his will and 13 Apr 1737 when it was proved.5
     He was taxed at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, in 1727.6 His will at Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, dated 13 April 1737, mentions his wife Mary and each of his children as below.5

     Mary Seward was born at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, circa 1695.1 She was the daughter of Henry Seward and Mary Huntress.1 Mary Seward married at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on 28 July 1715, Jonathan Stoodly, of Lime, co. Devonshire, England, a master mariner of Portsmouth, son of James Stoodly.2,3
     Mary owned the Covenant at North Church, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on 3 March 1716/17.4
