     Rebecca Stowell was born at Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, on 18 January 1770.2,5,6 She was the daughter of Lemuel Stowell and Rebecca Fisher.1 Rebecca Stowell married at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, on 26 May 1792, at age 22, Amasa Gay, age 30, son of Samuel Gay and Elizabeth Woodward, ceremony performed by Rev. Samuel Parker.7,3,4 Rebecca Stowell died of lung fever, age 64 years on 18 May 1834 at age 64.2
