Oscar Pool Taylor was born at Mena, Polk County, Arkansas, on 27 August 1902.2 He married at Big Fork, Polk County, Arkansas, on 2 September 1923, at age 21, Vergie Jane Standridge, age 15 ceremony performed by Elder J. M. Newman.3 Oscar Pool Taylor died DOA, of a probably myocardial infarction, also suffered from carcinoma of the lung at Highland General Hospital, Pampa, Gray County, Texas, on 3 August 1976 at age 73.1 He was buried at White Deer Cemetery, White Deer, Gray County, Texas, on 5 August 1976.1
