     Josiah Tuck was born at Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on 3 April 1773.1 He was the son of Jonathan Tuck and Huldah Moulton.1 Josiah Tuck married, first, say 1791, Lovey Hilton.1 Josiah Tuck married, second, on 27 January 1806, at age 32, Lydia Shapleigh, age 24, daughter of John Shapleigh and Catherine Huntress.1 Josiah Tuck married probably after 1827, Sarah Crockett, of Effingham.1 Josiah Tuck died at Effingham, Carroll County, New Hampshire, on 28 September 1856 at age 83.2
     He resided at Gosport, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Josiah was a yeoman at Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.
