     Josephine Emma Washburn was born at Dorchester, Grafton County, New Hampshire, on 5 May 1854.3,2,4 She was the daughter of Osbert Samuel Washburn and Mary J Southard.2 Josephine Emma Washburn married at West Lebanon, Grafton County, New Hampshire, on 20 July 1874, at age 20, Charles Orvel Huntress, age 26, son of Orvel Huntress and Harriet Austin Fuller, ceremony performed by A. B. Rich, clergyman.5,2 Josephine Emma Washburn died of cancer at Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, on 7 March 1897 at age 42.6,7 She was buried at Clay Center, Clay County, Kansas.6
     She resided at West Lebanon, Grafton County, New Hampshire, in 1874.8 She and Charles Orvel Huntress resided at Faribault, Rice County, Minnesota, on 1 May 1875.9
