     Mary Ellen Whidden was born at Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on 19 August 1845.2 She was the daughter of Joseph Whidden 2nd and Ann Mary Tucker.2 Mary Ellen Whidden married at Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on 1 January 1868, at age 22, James Edward Huntress, age 23, son of Edward Tredick Huntress and Mary Elizabeth Adams, ceremony performed by R. P. Ambler, clergyman.3 Mary Ellen Whidden died of a general streptococcus infection at Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 23 November 1911 at age 66 years, 3 months and 4 days.2,4 She was buried at Harmony Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on 25 November 1911.2,4,5

     She resided at Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on 1 January 1868.3 She and James Edward Huntress resided at 75 Sumner Street, Newton Centre, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 23 November 1911.4,2

     Sarah Whidden was born at Greenland, New Hampshire, in 1752.2 She was the daughter of Samuel Whidden and Hannah Langton.1 Sarah Whidden married on 24 February 1774, Phineas Coleman Jr., age 34, son of Phinehas Coleman and Abigail Huntress.1 Sarah Whidden married, second, after 1784, Nathan Bickford.2 Sarah Whidden died on 9 September 1821.3,2
