     Benoni Woodward was born probably at Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, say 1695 and seems like he ought to be the son of John and Rebecca (Robbins) Woodward, but if so would have been mentioned in his father's will - no other Woodward family was having children at the time, nor do the names of the children give hint of a connection. He was the son of John Woodward and Rebecca Robbins. Benoni Woodward married at Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, on 1 November 1716, Elizabeth Mirick, age 17, daughter of John Mirick and Elizabeth Trowbridge.3,1 Benoni Woodward died at Needham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, on 9 June 1745.4,5
