     Information about their family is from their family record in possession, 1920, of Sarah L.7 Huntress, of South Berwick, ME.2 He resided at York, York Co, Maine, in 1788.2 He was listed in the Massachusetts and Maine 1798 Direct Tax (1 house, 20 perches, $170; and 18 acres, $54) on 1 October 1798 at Berwick, York Co, Maine.9 George Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1800 Census at Coxhall, York Co, Maine. In his family were three males less than 10 years of age (James, George and John), one between 10 and 16 (Ivory), one between 26 and 45 (George), three females less than 10 years of age (Rachel, Jane and Elizabeth, 11), and one between 26 and 45 (Jane). Apparently, Statira was not enumerated.10 George Huntress was a yeoman at Lyman, York Co, Maine, in 1803.2 In 1807 they conveyed land "which belonged to our honored father James Warren of Berwick."11 Under his father's will he had 31 acres at York, ME.2 George Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census at Lyman, York Co, Maine. In his family were two males less than 10 years of age (Frederick and William), two between 10 and 16 (Mark and George), three between 16 and 26 (James, John, and Ivory), one 45 and over (George), one female less than 10 years of age (Armine), one between 10 and 16 (Jane), three between 16 and 26 (Elizabeth, Rachel and Statira), and one 45 and over (Jane).12 Administration on his estate, insolvent, was granted on 8 May 1820 to Jane Huntress, his widow, of Lyman, ME, Nathan Smith and William Warren of Lyman sureties.2

     Lydia Huntress was born at South Berwick, York Co, Maine, in 1764.1 She married at Second Church, Berwick, York Co, Maine,, on 16 April 1786, William Marr, (both) of Berwick, son of Surplus Marr and Sarah Hammett, and brother of her sister Mehitable's husband Thomas, ceremony performed by Rev. Matthew Merriam.2,1,3,4 Lydia Huntress died s.p. On 15 August 1851.1
     Her will dated 27 June 1835, proved 6 Oct 1851, mentions her Betsey Hunt [sic], William Marr son of Oliver, William Marr Bennett, son of Reuben and Mindwell, to whom she devised all her real estate, William Whitehouse, son of Alexander and Hannah, and George Bragdon. Moses Cooper, named as executor, renounced and William Marr Bennett as next of kin was appointed administrator, Jeremiah Goodwin and Moses Bennett, sureties.5,1 Lydia was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 Census at South Berwick, York Co, Maine.6

     By his father's will he had the homestead at Berwick, Me, and lands in York, Me, and was executor.3,4 Elisha Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census at Berwick, York Co, Maine. In his family were one male 45 and over (Elisha), and two females 45 and over (unk).1 He was living 1817 apparently unm., for no wife joins in his deed, and probably died unm.3,4 Elisha Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1820 Census at South Berwick, York Co, Maine. In his family were one male over 45 years of age (Elisha), and one female 26-45 (unk).5 Elisha Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1830 Census at South Berwick, York Co, Maine. In his family were one male between 60 and 70 (Elisha), and one female between 40 and 50 (unk).6

     Jane Warren was born at Kittery, York Co, Maine, on 4 March 1763.3,1,4,5 She was baptized on 7 July 1763.2 She married at First Church, South Berwick, York Co, Maine,, on 17 February 1785, at age 21, George Huntress, age 24, son of George Huntress and Patience Hearl, and sister of his cousin Maj. Darling's wife Mary, and sister of his cousin Keziah's husband Aaron, and sister of his cousin William's wife Elizabeth Rhoda, ceremony performed by Rev. John Thompson.6,7,2,8 Jane Warren died at South Berwick, York Co, Maine, on 9 March 1842 at age 79.9,10,5 She was buried at Portland Street Cemetery. North West side, Agamenticus, South Berwick, York Co, Maine.11

     Jane Warren was also known as Jean.12 Jane "widow" Jane Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1820 Census at Lyman, York Co, Maine. In her family were one male 10-16 years of age (William), one 16-18 (Frederick D.), two 16-26 (George and Mark), one female under 10 (Armine Dame, 15), one 16-26 (Jane), one over 45 (Jane).13
