     John Fabyan Huntress was born at Newington, Rockingham Co, New Hampshire, on 7 November 1775.2,3 He was baptized at Church of Newington, Newington, Rockingham Co, New Hampshire, on 16 November 1779 by Rev. Joseph Adams.1 He married say 1800, Phebe Russell, daughter of Thomas Chandler Russell and Sarah (?).3 John Fabyan Huntress died on 13 September 1852 at age 76.3 He was buried at Huntress-Pratt Cemetery, Parsonsfield, York Co, Maine, Inscription reads:
"JOHN HUNTRESS / DIED / Sept. 13, 1852 / Ae. 76 yrs. 10 m 6 days."
     His farm in the north west corner of Parsonsfield, Me, on the south bank of the Ossipee river, was owned, 1920, by his granddaughter Idella M.7 (Huntress) Stewart.3 John Fabyan Huntress was a cordwainer at Parsonsfield, York Co, Maine, in 1800.3 John Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census at Parsonsfield, York Co, Maine. In his family were five males under 10 (Robert, John, Frederic, James and Nathan), one between 26 and 45 (John), and one female between 26 and 45 (Phebe).4 In 1812 John Fabyan Huntress conveyed property to and Phebe his wife conveyed lands devised to her by her father Thomas Chandler Russell late of North Yarmouth, ME.5 John Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1820 Census at Parsonsfield, York Co, Maine. In his family were two males under 10 years of age (Thomas and Silas), two between 10 and 16 (Frederic and James), one between 16 and 26 (Robert or John), one over 45 (John Fabyan, 44), one female under 10 (Sarah), and one between 26 and 45 (Phebe).6 John Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1830 Census at Parsonsfield, York Co, Maine. In his family were one male between 15 and 20 (Silas), one between 20 and 30 (James), one between 50 and 60 (John), one female less than 5 (Eliza), one between 15 and 20 (Sarah, 13), one between 20 and 30 (unk), and one between 40 and 50 (Phebe). Not listed were Mary, 9, and Thomas, 19, and Frederick, 25, who was probably at sea.7 John F. Huntress was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 Census at Parsonsfield, York Co, Maine. In his family were one male between 5 and 10 years of age (unk), one between 60 and 70 (John), one female between 15 and 20 (Mary), and one between 50 and 60 (Phebe). Eliza and Sarah were not enumerated.8 "John Huntress and wife, Phebe, came [to Parsonsfield] about 1800. He was born in Newington in 1775 and she at North Yarmouth in 1783."9

     Wadleigh Cram was born on 26 March 1774. He married at Parsonsfield, York Co, Maine,, on 1 September 1805, at age 31, Elizabeth Huntress, age 23, daughter of Nathan Huntress and Susanna Chick.1 Wadleigh Cram died on 10 August 1821 at age 47.
     Wadleigh was a merchant at Parsonsfield, York Co, Maine. The dates of birth and death of Wadleigh Cram and "Betsey Huntress his wife" are from tombstones on the Cram farm on the Middle Road, Parsonsfield. There is no administration on his or her estate in the York County probate court and no record of any children.

     Stephen Hawkins was born at Barrington, Strafford Co, New Hampshire, on 8 June 1768.1 He married at Newington, Rockingham Co, New Hampshire,, on 23 February 1797, at age 28, Mary Huntress, daughter of Noah Huntress and Abigail Pickering.2 Stephen Hawkins died probably on 15 June 1825 at age 57.1
     Stephen was a saw miller at Centre Harbour, Belknap Co, New Hampshire. Stephen Hawkins was listed as the head of a family on the 1800 Census at Centre Harbour, Strafford Co, New Hampshire. In his family were two males less than 10 years of age (Jacob Bunker and unk), one between 26 and 45 (Stephen), one female less than 10 years of age (unk), one between 10 and 16 (unk), one between 26 and 45 (Mary, 25).3 Stephen Hawkins was listed as the head of a family on the 1810 Census at Centre Harbour, Strafford Co, New Hampshire. In his family were one male under 10 years of age (Stephen), one between 10 and 16 (Jacob Bunker), one between 26 and 45 (Stephen), four females under 10 (Sarah and unk), one between 10 and 16 (unk), and one between 26 and 45 (Mary).4 In 1813 he had from William Hawkins of Holderness one sixth of a mill privilege in Meredith in lot 22 of the third division, and from John Hawkins of Meredith, blacksmith, 3 acres in lot 22 of the third division, half a mill privilege there and one-third of a mill privilege there.5

      In 1823 Stephen Hawkins, yeoman, of Centre Harbour, and Mary ux. conveyed 33 acres on the north side of the highway running from Centre Harbour meeting house to New Hampton, part of lot 4, range 2, excepting the burying ground.6

      In 1826 Stephen Hawkins of Centre Harbour, and Mary ux. conveyed to Jacob B. Hawkins of Centre Harbour, husbandman, about 50 acres there bought from Jared Church.7

      In 1826 Jacob B. Hawkins of Centre Harbour conveyed to Mary Hawkins of the same place 5 acres and the mill privilege bounded N. by the Province Road leading through said town and W. by Long Pond.8 The same year she conveyed to him her right of dower in the estate of Stephen Hawkins as set off to her9 and the farm of her late husband about 100 acres bounded N. and S. by the range way, E. by James Gilman and W. by Nathan Fogg.10

      In 1829 Stephen and Jacob Hawkins of Centre Harbour conveyed 57 acres of Centre Harbour, part of lot 2, range 3, running N. to Hawkins' Mill Pond and E. along the mill pond to the beaver dam, reserving the right to build a dam to flow Bear Pond and the timber for 7 years.11

      In 1832 Jacob B. Hawkins and Sarah ux. conveyed part of his homestead farm, 46 acres adjoining Samuel Edgerly.12

      In 1832 Mary Hawkins, widow, conveyed lands on the main road from New Hampton to Holderness village.14,13 Stephen Hawkins, engaged in agriculture was listed as the head of a family on the 1820 Census at Centre Harbour, Strafford Co, New Hampshire. In his family were one male 0-10 (unk), one 10-16 (Stephen), one over 45 (Stephen), one female 10-16 (unk), three 16-26 (Sarah, Sarah Smith?, and unk), one over 45 (Mary). Jacob Bunker Hawkins, 22, may not have been enumerated.15 Administration on his estate was granted on 2 July 1825 to his widow Mary.16,1
