     Joseph Cotton Muchmore was born at Portsmouth, Rockingham Co, New Hampshire, on 25 April 1814.3,1 He married as his second wife on 24 December 1856, at age 42, Ann Maria Stavers, age 32, of Portsmouth, rigger, daughter of Charles Stavers and Sarah Ann Huntress.1 Joseph Cotton Muchmore died on 28 November 1890 at age 76.1
