Samuel Carll was born on 5 October 1782.3 He married, secondly, (intentions) at Waterborough, York Co, Maine,, on 15 January 1814, at age 31, Rhoda Huntress, age 22, (both) of Waterborough, daughter of William Huntress and Elizabeth Rhoda Warren, and father of her brother Robert's wife Mercey.4,2 Capt. Samuel Carll died on 13 December 1866 at age 84.

     "He was a very prominent man in the affairs of his native town, having held many of the town and county offices. He was Representative to the General Court of Maine in 1853 and 1869. He was always interested in education and an active supporter of free public schools. He was a farmer, succeeding his father on the old homestead."6 "He was one of the leading men of Eliot, twice Representative to the Legislature, and filled various town and county offices.      Darling Huntress was a Free Will Baptist preacher at Westbrook, Cumberland Co, Maine. According to William Samuel Spurr, Hannah "ran away with Darling Huntress, her sister Sally's husband, when about to have a child by him and lived in N. Y. She had a dau. born in Otisfield, which grew up and married in N. Y. Amos Knight saw Darling Huntress, Hannah, and the dau. The dau. was then married and had a little girl large enough to walk. Sally married a 2nd husband at South Berwick or Great Falls, and move to some town on the coast east of Portland and died there." Rockland is on the coast of Maine about 80 from Portland.5 He resided at Bridgton, Cumberland Co, Maine, in 1836.

James M. Tuck

     James M. Tuck was born at Parsonsfield, York Co, Maine, on 15 July 1810.1 He married on 8 October 1834, at age 24, Abigail Huntress, age 24, of Parsonsfield, daughter of Joseph Chick Huntress and Mary Chick.1
     He resided at Houlton, Aroostook Co, Maine. He settled as a farmer in Houlton, Maine; returned to Parsonsfield in 1845; bought his uncle John Tuck's farm the next year, and carried on, for several years, both this farm and his father's. He sold them in 1865, and removed to Maysville, Aroostook County, Maine; and in 1877 resided in Caribou (formerly Lyndon), in the same county.1 In 1831 he bought 20 acres in Newfield.2 He resided at Shapleigh, York Co, Maine. James M. Tuck was a farmer at Parsonsfield, York Co, Maine, in 1850. He resided at Marysville, Maine, in 1865. James M. Tuck was a farmer at Caribou, Aroostook Co, Maine, in 1877.1
