Downtown Wilton around the turn of the century, exact date unknown. Ryan's Hotel is on the left (see the sign above the door). The hotel had previously been owned and run by Andrew J. See, from ca. 1853-1870. The house with the double-decker porch at center might have been Garret See's residence, or at least that might be deduced from the order of names in the census. To the left of this house is a smaller building that had been a blacksmith shop. Both of these buildings are now gone. This photo was taken from the front of the Comstock residence.
