Alone (Doesn’t mean lonely)

[VERSE]

Here I stand, in a prison of, my own making

Choices I've made, have led me here.

You look at me, As if you think, you know me

But you don't see the man, I see in the mirror.

[REFRAIN]

Alone, doesn't mean lonely

So, why when you're lonely, does it feel like you're always alone.

[VERSE]

So many things, I should have said, but couldn't

Left me to wonder, what might have been.

So many choices, I made knowing, I shouldn't

Leaves me to wish, it was only a dream.

[REFRAIN]

Alone, doesn't mean lonely

So, why when you're lonely, does it feel like you're always alone.

[VERSE]

Saying goodbye is, something I've grown, quite good at doing

Walking away, is altogether another thing.

Winning in life, is hard to do, when you feel you're always losing

Still losing is better, than failing to climb in the ring.

[REFRAIN]

Alone, doesn't mean lonely

So, why when you're lonely, does it feel like you're always alone.

[VERSE]

We spend our lives, searching for, some kind of meaning

Looking in places, better left unturned.

Long before, we come to know it, this journey is ending

Those lessons forgotten before they’ve been learned

[SOLO]

 [REFRAIN]

Alone, doesn't mean lonely

So, why when you're lonely, does it feel like you're always alone.

Alone, doesn't mean lonely

Still when it's all said and done, every one of us ends up, alone.
