Review - Dogfish Head Brewery's 90-minute IPA
"Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute IPA, perhaps the best IPA in America. An Imperial IPA brewed to be savored from a snifter. A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal!. -- Dogfish Head Brewery"
This is not a subtle beer. Definitely not your typical IPA. It pours to a rich, medium amber hue with a fizzy, off-white head. Thick head, good lacing over a fully diminishing head. Very powerful aroma with incredible hop presence with a slight bitterness and alcohol. Initial taste is slightly bitter, almost immediately switching to a heavy sweet. Overwhelming taste that comes at you from all directions. Medium on the mouth, it is creamy and smooth, leaving us with a sweet coating. A battle royale in our mouths.
