'Unauthorized G3' Chromeboy

"The guitar on the right in both pictures is:

* the Unauthorized Ibanez G3 Guitar!  In other words, custom built by me with Ibanez and DiMarzio parts.
* Body: JS-10 Chrome Boy (Satriani)
* Neck: JEM 77BK (minus a couple frets) (Vai)
* Pickups: DiMarzio Air Norton and Steve's Special (same pickups used on the Ibanez John Pettrucci Signature Models).  The wiring is the same as the Pettrucci models where the middle setting has both pickups in single-coil mode.  Only, I wired it backwards so the outer coils are the ones that are active...but I actually think it sounds cooler that way.
* Bridge: Lo-Pro Edge
* Case: UV1000 hardsell (not shown -- and it does have a couple stickers pasted on it)
* Problems:
* There were some holes drilled into the body to attach a pickguard as an attempt to cover up a spot where the first owner had rubbed the chrome off of the body.  Certainly not the smartest thing I have ever done.  However, it should be noted that the tone and functionality of the guitar have not been affected.  What's more, anyone owning would feel much less worry about playing it because it is already worn-in.
* The frets on the neck were already filed once before I got ahold of it.  It still plays perfectly (no buzzing or dead-zones), but a serious player may want to consider replacing the frets at some point in the near future.  Also, part of the neck had to be removed to make it fit to the guitar, which meant the loss of a couple frets."
