The Department of Michigan is continually involved in compiling a detailed database of all known American Civil War Veterans whose final resting place is within our state.

In addition, the "Michigan Veterans of the Civil War Burial Sites" database lists the final resting place of more than 20,000 Michigan soldiers in places all across the nation.
