Mystery surrounds Aylix Sunchaser like a shroud. Having no memory of herself
before awaking in Paragon city nights before Halloween, Aylix watched in horror
as Eochai, and then Jack of Irons, led attack upon attack on the hapless people
of Paragon City. Yet even as she recoiled in horror, a sense of wonder grew in
her as she saw the brave and selfless heroes who stood between the ranks of the
unholy and the defenseless people of the city.
Finally, as Halloween itself stole across the world, Aylix burst her bonds at seeing a hero die while protecting two small children. Her rage enabled her to tap deep into abilities she had not known she possessed. With a crackle of electricity Aylix left the charred husks of two sorceressess lying forgotten as she found herself flying to aid the children. One was unhurt but the other child's wounds were great. The small girl, eyes fogged by pain, looked at Aylix and asked her to make the pain go away. Knowing of no place to go and no one to help, Aylix gently folded the child in her arms. Crying, Aylix wished with all her heart that she could do something, anything, to ease the child's pain. Suddenly the little girl gasped and Aylix, fearing she had died, held the girl at arms length and was amazed! The child was healed of her wounds.
From that moment Aylix knew what she would do. Capable of lashing out with electrical fury, she chose to plumb the depths of her compassion instead. She would heal those around her who chose to place themselves in the path of danger in order to spare those who could not protect themselves. Those selfless heroes could count on Aylix to heal their wounds and, if needed, cheat death itself.
Aylix Sunchaser still does not know who she is, but she is content. She knows what she was destined to do.
