Medical Ethics

Margaret Monahan Hogan holds the McNerney-Hanson Chair in Ethics at the University of Portland where she works as a Professor of Philosophy. She also serves as a Fellow at the Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture. With a Ph.D. from Marquette University, she has served as Chair of the Philosophy Department at King's College and founding director of the Center for Ethics and Public Life there, as ethical consultant for the Wyoming Valley Health Care System, for Allied Health Services, for the independent review board of the Diocese of Scranton, and for the University of Notre Dame Medical Ethics Conference. She has been a member of the board and immediate past president of the Center for Academic Integrity. She is the mother of six children.
