Here's a picture of 2 year old Jim in 1943 taken outside the Ft. George Presbyterian Church on 186th Street and then St. Nicholas Avenue. In the background you can see about 4 blocks of the Avenue looking north, with only 3 or 4 cars on the whole stretch! They say you can't go back, but you can visit the past as is evidenced in these photos!
