Antisemite? Why is it if an educated person who has nothing personal against the Jewish religion mentions they have some responsibility in the Middle East conflict gets labeled a antisemite? How is it that stating a truth becomes antisemitism? That saying anything that doesn't display them in the best of lights causes people to label you a Jew hater. Some blogs and news groups are soo much an example of this. One wrong statement against anything Jewish, policies, politics, settlements, the wall, some crazed loon pops up and screeches, "ANTISEMITISM", like something or someone out of those invasion of the pod people movies. I was once banned for arguing correctly that portions of the Talmud are as equally hate filled, and teach as little tolerance as parts of the Koran. Hey even Christians are advised in parts to kill certain types of sinners. All I stated was calling the Koran evil because it taught hate and had hate passages per se, was no different than the passages in the Talmud, and could have been written word for word by the same person except the parties who the hatred was to be aimed were named differently. The web site I was banned from was a NBC news affiliate. I tried a little experiment. I went onto the Fox newsgroup. Found a decent Arab bashing room. Found the right post to debate upon, and got banned within 10 minutes for stating fact with no hatred, cussing, trys to incite violence. My opinion tho truthful was banned. Why? Is it politically incorrect to mention anything that doesn't support Jewish perfection? Well I am not an anti semite. I know Jewish folks. I hang out with some. When we hang out religion isn't our main issue. We usually drink beer and fish. We haven't found problems with religion a problem with ourselves, and can openly talk bad about any and all governments. We often do. After all drunks fishing know alot more about world affairs than politicians who don't actually live in the real world. I asked Harold once. Why? Why is it that I am labeled an anti semite for saying less than flattering things about Jews, or Israel. He told me it was part of the Jewish Agenda. Of course here I laughed. He was pulling my leg that asshole. But no, he looked serious and explained that fears of future persecution drove many Jews to get outright vocal and nasty when questioned about actions done by other Jews, or Israel. That it was not usually as bad as it seemed, but lately even he had noticed it. It was a defensive mechanism for some, for a smaller group it was exploitable. Well back to the internet. Lets mention Hatred in doctrine, and how all religions seem to teach some of it. CBS. Yeah another news group. I lasted three minutes. Words expressing any anti Jewish sentiment are bannable. One would wonder how many anti Christian articles flowed through those same pages after the release of Mel Gibson's new movie. So in summary. Bashing Arabs is okay. Bashing Christians is okay. Bashing a Jews gets you banned. Without being an anti semite I can think that displays my message clearer than anything else. Somebody needs to lighten up. Before we start wondering who the real extremist are. On a personal note. I despise Charles Krauthammer. Yes I know I have never met the person. His writing grates my senses. He is obvious so pro Israel as to ignore truths. And truly seems to be sucking the schlong of everything the Bush administration does or says. I find he lacks objectivity. And his opinions of anything Bush are off balance with reality. Tho That Thomas Friedman guy seems to be objective. Occasionally I don't agree, but he doesn't seem to loose objectivity. And is willing to ask whats beyond the rhetoric. Read em both. Best to to decide. ![]() Drunken Monkey Style Blogging |
