Media Owned.

If a newsperson is a paid employee. And they report on something their employers do not want reported on. They can expect to be fired, or given duties less out of the limelight. How then do we blame the "Media" for what is reported. Are they not reading scripts? Checking the teleprompters and trying their best to smile at the right times and look sad or morose as need be? Should we then instead of blaiming the "Media", blame the "Script Writers"? Or are they just doing a job, and all work has to pass through an editorial board? So it's the editors? Or are they also employees, who making more than the rest mentioned may wish to conserve their standing at the golf course. So who do editors answer to? Who then is to blame. Oh, the owners. Well can't the owners tell their station to do whatever the heck they want them to? Even if it directly benifits them or a political party they affiliate themseleves with? So in all truth the owners have a right to tell the editors to only express a certain view point. And they are only answerable to shareholders, and market share. Should they loose their pants, as long as the share holders are aware of the direction the company was going and had a chance to pull cash if they felt insecure about their investment. So then the owners are really innocent, and have a right to do whatever they like. And the editors, well they are answering to their masters. The script writers write whats wanted instead of stuff that gets tossed daily into the trashcan. The teleprompter guy dutifully puts it up, and nice anchor people do the job they are paid for and report the stories given to them.

So who's at fault then?

Well you.

For accepting lies from media and not changing the channel. For not using your small buying power to send a message that you won't be fed opinions but prefer facts. If enough people really wanted to have truth in media there would be. Since there is not, it must not really be that much in demand. And on that note.

Almost summer time here. That means canoing and beaches. Cook outs and lots of staggering drunkeness. Family time, and a good chance to load my boys down with good memories. Seek freedom for all. Not just for your group. Otherwise your group may end up on the list sooner than anyone would think.
