I knew when I first looked at Emerald that I would probably have this
job ahead of me. It certainly wasn't enough to even make me blink
about buying her as she was overall in outstanding
condition. Here are a series of pictures where you can see
the signs of the core having failed as the forward port corner of the
shoe has sunk forward.
In this picture, note the large crack running side to side and across
the forward edge of the shoe:
So, it is obvious that I need to pull the shoe off the deck and start
cutting.....
