 Look Closely at Your Rudder




Rudders full of water.   We've all heard of these tales, and I think we've all thought to ourselves, not mine, what a pain....


Hmmm, wish it were that easy, but it was mine, and it had split, and it was wet inside.   I didn't realize how bad it was until I pulled it to make a Teflon bushing for the pintel.  Of note, were talking a very large transom mounted rudder.  It measures 8 feet 3 inches top to bottom.


First, a few pictures for humor (there's got to be some in this project).  I have a weakness for Italian sports cars, and have driven them for years.  Well, you get creative in what and how you transport in them, and this was no exception:
