IZ8BLY's web page -- the author of STREAM (the program that does MFSK and PSK modes), and the Windows version of MT63:

If the icons on IZ8BLY's MT63 program don't come up on the screen, you probably need an update to the windows COMCTRL.DLL system file, you can get it from

http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/ieplatform/ie/comctrl.asp

(Note - all of the above software is FREE. (Not shareware or demo versions of programs -- they're all free, fully-functional programs.)

These programs all require pentium-class processors and sound cards... some modes require more 'horsepower' than others. MT63 really needs a Pentium 133 or faster; a 120 will work if
you read the notes on the web page and make a couple of modifications to the .ini file. STREAM will lock up completely on several modes (the faster PSK modes) if you're on a slow CPU.
PSK125F takes about 10 times the CPU that MFSK16 requires; since MFSK16 takes about 60% of a Pentium 120's power, PSK125F will lock up it up. I've heard that PSK31 might run on some faster 486's...

If you are interested in testing [MFSK 16], I'd strongly recommend you get the STREAM program
.....and spend a little time listening around 14.080 and getting some practice tuning in signals -- it's pretty touchy. (Setting the Waterfall Zoom to 3X or 4X will make life a lot easier.)
