• Edited user guides on weather forecasting software for NCAR and on personal security software for BI, Inc.

Scholarly Editing and Proofreading

• Proofread and edited newsletters, technical reports, and annual reports for Western Resource Advocates.
• Copyedited management training materials and research reports for Wisdom Works Group.
• Copyedited and proofread marketing brochures, catalogs, and reference books for Sopris West Educational Services.

Information Design

• Designed websites for a business development think tank, an interior designer, two nonprofit organizations, and two school libraries.
• Redesigned two large websites, one for National Lightning Safety Institute and one for Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder.
• Created the overall information architecture and wrote web copy for a redesigned website for Rocky Mountain Publishing Professionals Guild.
• Designed an intranet website on data technology management software evaluation for U S WEST.
• Designed online templates and style sheets for various Web sites.
• Designed a marketing newsletter for Tecnetics, a power supply manufacturer.
• Set up FrameMaker templates for user guides at National Center for Atmospheric Research.
• Designed a marketing brochure about Cray system administration software for Magna Software.
• Created for-print style guides for various computer companies and management consulting organizations.

Web Content Development and Maintenance

• Currently maintaining websites and writing web page content for several organizations and small businesses.
• Webmaster for the Boulder Writers Alliance website since January 2001, coordinating the work of several volunteers plus managing the overall site design, navigation, and content. As Webmaster, introduced a commercial search facility into the site, launched a highly successful search engine optimization strategy, implemented style sheets and templates, and helped create the user interface for a Web-enabled membership database.
• Managed the maintenance and content of an intranet website on data technology management software evaluation at U S WEST for four years.
• Performed a website review on scanner products for Hewlett-Packard, including usability and a competitive analysis.
