Transcriber's Note: The Chaffee Cemetery is located in the north-west quadrant of the junction of 
Whitman Road and Old Country Road . In a second census the cemetery is described as the Whitman 
Cemetery, located in the Town of Lincoln, Madison County, NY about 6 miles south of Canastota on 
the N. Fred Chaffee farm, 1/2 mile east of Alene Corner, on the Whitman Road. In the following 
census an asterisk will be used to indicate materials from the census of the D.A.R. Click here
