DEATHS
Gillet, Mary of Smithfield, consort of Daniel M. Gillet, died ______ (The Freeholder, Peterboro, NY, 7 Sept. 1808, paper at one time the property of Mrs. Fred Frank, Peterboro, NY).

St. John, Wallis Jr. died at Peterboro, Madison Co. in the 30th year of his age, in the full hope of a glorious immortality beyond the grave [died 24 July according to his tombstone in Peterboro Cemetery] (Friend of Man, Utica, NY, 10 Aug. 1841, p. 3, c. 4).

 Anderson, Joseph of Eaton m. Miss Matilda Blodget of this town [Smithfield], 2 Feb., Thursday evening last, by Wright Brigham, Esq. (The Freeholder, Peterboro, NY, 8 Feb. 1809, PAHS).

Bonney, Elon Galusha of Eaton m. Miss Gertrude Shaver, daughter of John Shaver of St. Lawrence County, Wednesday, 7 Sept. 1842, by Rev. Wm. W. Weber at Peterboro (Madison County Eagle, Cazenovia, NY, 14 Sept. 1842, p. 3, c. 4).

Bump, James advertised his wife Hannah having left his bed and board, dated Smithfield, Dec. 3d, 1810 (The Freeholder, Peterboro, NY, 26 Dec. 1810, p. 3, c. 2, MCHS).

Curtis, Gold T., Esq. of Peterboro, Counsellor at Law, m. Miss Mary F. Gay, daughter of Mr. Wm. L. Gay of Canastota, on the evening of the 8th inst., by Rev. Washington Stickney, at Canastota [Oct. 8? – note date of paper] (Albany Patriot, 4 Nov. 1846, p. 3, c. 5).

Downer, Wm. H. of Smithfield m. Miss Lucinda Look of Smithfield, 20 Apr., by Rev. D. W. Smith in Smithfield (Madison County Eagle, Cazenovia, NY, 3 May 1843, p. 3, c. 2).

Edson, _______ of Augusta m. the amiable Miss Clarisia Derick of Eaton, 31 Dec. [1807], Thurs. evening last, by John Hall, Esq. (The Freeholder, Peterboro, NY, 6 Jan. 1808, PAHS).

Glidden, P. N. of Peterboro m. Miss Margaret M. Manuel of Morrisville, 17 Apr., by Rev. D. W. Smith in Peterboro (Madison County Eagle, Cazenovia, NY, 3 May 1843, p. 3, c. 2).

Gragg, Hugh m. Miss Polly Black, both of this town [Smithfield, prob. Siloam area], on Thursday evening last by Thomas Dibble Esq. (The Freeholder, Peterboro, NY, 27 Dec. 1809, p. 3, c. 4, MCHS). Note: Hugh Gragg/Gregg is considered to be one of the first settlers of Siloam.

Hammond, Marcus R. of Smithfield m. Miss Harriet A. Twogood of Lenox, 7 Dec., by Rev. Mr. Scofield in Lenox (Madison County Eagle, Cazenovia, NY, 14 Dec. 1842, p. 3, c. 3).

Johnson, Weaver m. Miss Sally Dexter, both of Nelson, 22 Feb., Wed. (The Freeholder, Peterboro, NY, 1 Mar. 1809, PAHS).

Kelty, Owen of Peterboro m. Miss Fanny Lay of Augusta at the latter place on Sunday evening the 18th inst. (The Freeholder, Peterboro, NY, 28 Aug. 1811, p. 3, c. 4, MCHS).
