Miss Isabel Bracy, Madison County historian, transcribed the William H. Tuttle notebooks found in the Madison County Courthouse basement. Mr. Tuttle served as Town Historian, Madison County Historian and Supervisor of the Town of Lincoln. In 1958, Mrs. Joyce Scott joined with Mary K. Meyer to track down cemetery records that had been "scattered to the four winds."  The first and only volume of this undertaking was published in 1961.  A facsimile copy is available from Willow Bend Books.  All cemeteries in towns of Fenner and Nelson located at that time (28), a number of which are now totally destroyed.
