Rush Ingalls, Sr., aged 88, died at the home of his son, William D. Ingalls, proprietor of White's Hotel, in Rome, at 12:30 o'clock Monday morning. He was stricken with paralysis last Friday and remained unconscious until his death. He was born in Wampsville and resided in that vicinity until eight years ago. Since that time Mr. and Mrs. Ingalls resided with their children. In Clockville 55 years ago he was married to Christine Adle, who survives with eight children: Mrs. Hulda Terwilliger of Coatesville, Pa., Mrs. William Stook, Jr. of Kirkville, John J. Ingalls of Vernon, W. D. Ingalls of Rome, with whom he had resided for the past two years, Frank Ingalls of Sherrill, Seymour Ingalls of Fulton and Rush Ingalls, Jr., of Oneida. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Jane Eddy of Kenwood, and two brothers, Lewis of Wampsville and Norton Ingalls of Merrillsville. Mr. Ingalls was a farmer by occupation and was very successful. He so lived that he commanded the respect and esteem of those with whom he came in contact. The remains were taken to Wampsville for the funeral and interment on Wednesday.

Rush Ingalls died at White's hotel at Rome Monday morning. He had a
stroke last Friday noon and had since been unconscious. He was born in
Wampsville eighty-eight years ago and all his life had been spent in that
place with the exception of the past eight years when he and his wife made
their home with their children. He had always been engaged in farming. His
widow survives, also the following children: John J. Ingalls of Vernon, pro-
prietor of White's hotel at Rome; Frank of Sherrill, Seymour of Fulton,
Rush, Jr. of Oneida, Mrs. Huldah Terwillinger of Coatesville, Pa, Mrs. Wil-
liam Stook of Vernon, Mrs. William Stook, Jr, of Kirkville, and two
brothers, Lewis Ingalls of Wampsville, and Norton Ingalls of Merrillsville,
and one sister, Mrs. Jane Eddy of Kenwood. The funeral was held at 2
p. m. on Wednesday at the Presbyterian church at Wampsville.

Lucius Ingalls, 86, probably the old-
est resident in town passed away at
his home in Court street on Monday
evening of this week, He had been
ill but a short time and death was
due more to the infirmities of old age
than any particular ailment or dis-
ease. On January first he and Mrs.
Ingalls, had been married 65 years,
He had resided in this village for
many years past and was very fav-
orably known by all who knew him.
Surviving besides his widow is one
daughter, Marion, an employee at the
Clerk's office in the court house. The
funeral was held Thursday afternoon
at 2 o'clock, Rev. Mr. Swinnerton
of Oneida officiating. Burial was
made in the local cemetery.

Lucius Ingalls, a lifelong resident of Wampsville, died Monday night, aged 86. On January 1 Mr. and Mrs. Ingalls celebrated their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary. Mrs. Ingalls and one daughter, Marion, survive. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. George B. Swinnerton, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of this city, officiating.

of Luther Ingalls, was found dead in
bed yesterday morning at the home
of her son, Jay Ingalls, on the West
road in the First ward, where she had
resided for some time. She had been
in poor health, but had not required
the services of a physician. She was
born and reared near Merrillsville,
and was well known in this vicinity
as a woman of high character. Many
warm friends as well as her family
will mourn her sudden death. She
was past 70 years of age, and leaves
the following children: Harrison H.,
Jay, Miss Maude and Mrs. Frank In-
galls, all of the First ward, and Mer-
ton Ingalls, Miss Lulu Ingalls and Mrs.
Joseph Marcy of Syracuse.
The funeral will be held Sunday at
1 o'clock at the house.

ALONZO SNYDER
Alonzo Snyder, a life long resident of
the town of Lincoln, died at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Syracuse Tuesday morning at
8 o'clock. Mr. Snyder was born at Clock-
ville 66 years ago and all his life had been
passed in that vicinity and Merrillsville
were (sic) he owned a home at the time of his
death. About three weeks ago he went
to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph
Rothschild in Syracuse where he was re-
ceiving medical treatment. Monday morn-
ing he was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital
for an operation which he survived less
than twenty-four hours. Mr. Snyder is
survived by a wife, two daughters, Mrs.
Hollis H. Case of Clockville and Mrs.
Rothschild of Syracuse; also one son,
Floyd G. Snyder of Merrillsville. Funeral
services will be held at his late home at
Merrillsville Thursday afternoon at 2
o'clock, Rev. W. J. Stearns officiating.
Mr. Snyder was a devoted husband and
father, a kind neighbor and friend, and
many will be saddened to hear of his un-
looked for death.

Wednesday morning at his home at
Lenox Furnace, occurred the death of
Frank Ingalls, one of the best known
residents of the Cowasselon valley,
aged 72 years. Mr. Ingalls had been
a sufferer for some time past with
heart trouble and hardening of the
arteries. Besides his widow he is sur-
vived by three sons, James Ingalls of
East Rochester, Hollis Ingalls of Pet-

He is also survived by five sisters,

Hollis Ingalls, aged 62, died sudden-
ly at his home at Peterboro Monday
morning of a heart attack. He had
been proprietor of a general store in
Peterboro for more than 30 years and
had held other local offices. He had
spent most of his life in Peterboro and
was one of the best known men of
the locality. He had been in failing
health for several months but had
been able to be up and about his
home and occasionally worked out-
side. He was re-elected town clerk at
the fall election on the Republican
ticket.
There are surviving his widow, Mrs.
Grace Ingalls and three brothers, Har-
ry Ingalls of Alene and Clarence and
James both of the Town of Lincoln.
Funeral services were held Thursday
and burial was in the Peterboro cem-
tery.

FUNERAL HELD FOR JAMES INGALLS
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Hollis Ingalls, of Peterboro, for James Ingalls of Rochester, a former resident of Peterboro. Mr. Ingalls was well known in this vicinity and operated a store in Peterboro for some time. The same store is run now by his brother, Harry Ingalls.
Surviving besides the brother is a nephew, Donald Ingalls of Sherrill. Interment was made in the Peterboro cemetery.

Mrs. Emma J. Moon, widow of Riley Moon and a lifelong resident of Merillsville, died on Tuesday of heart disease after two weeks' illness at the home of her sister, Mrs. Nora Moore, in Merrillsville. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Mrs. Moon's farm home with Rev. George B. Swinnerton of Oneida in charge. Burial will be in the family plot in Merrillsville cemetery.
Mrs. Moon was born on February 12, 1848, and had always lived in Merrillsville. Her husband died five years ago, but she continued to live alone at the farm until last fall. She was the daughter of James and Jennie Ingalls and one of the most highly respected residents of that section. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William Dennison of Peterboro; one son, Frank of Merrillsville; a sister, Mrs. Nora Moore of Merrillsville; two grandchildren, Mrs. Miles Marshall of Pratts Hollow and Bernard Moon of Merrilllsville.
The depest sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family.

Mrs. Melba M. Ingalls of 649 Madison st., widow of Burt Ingalls
and proprietor of an art studio at the Madison st. address for many years,
died Thursday night after a long illness.
Mrs. Ingalls was born in Middletown 74 years ago and had lived in
Syracuse 34 years. She conducted a music, painting, and sculpturing
studio for many years, but gave up part of her art work after her hus-
band was injured in an accident in 1933 which resulted in the loss of
his left leg.
Surviving is a nephew, William McAuliffe of East Liverpool. A prayer service was conducted at 7 p. m. yesterday at the rooms of Carl E. Welter after which her body was taken to the Mt. Hope crematory in Rochester.
