Jerry Halsey, bass-baritone
Mr. Halsey has vast operatic and musical theater experience, having sung with the Portland Opera, Seattle Opera, Tacoma Opera, and the Centurion Players of Ft. Lewis, Washington, as well as a 10-year run with the German State Opera. He also has toured the country as a concert artist, and has performed in many gala fundraising events to further education and to raise money for children's healthcare.
Teacher
Since 1984, Mr. Halsey has been a private studio voice instructor. He excels in teaching opera and musical theater roles. Early on in his career, colleagues came to him for technical advice, and he has been teaching and advising ever since. His specialties include:

Opera and musical theater
Some of Mr. Halsey's many roles include Wotan, the Flying Dutchman, Don Pasquale, Scarpia, Iago, Gianni Schicchi, Nicholai's Falstaff, Zorastro, and Méphistophélès, as well as roles from South Pacific, Guys and Dolls, Brigadoon, Wild Cat, 110 in the Shade, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, various Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, and more. He has also given concerts and been the principal soloist in many gala performances.
Education
In addition to studying with teachers from Europe and North America, Mr. Halsey earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Washington, and a Master of Music from the University of Munich.
