Peter gets closer to the leading scorer title

With the three goals scored against Valencia, Peter Trofin reached 42 as an Inter United player and is just one shy of Roger Derham. If Peter keeps up his pace we probably will have a new leading scorer before the end of the season. Sir Roger's record however will continue to be important since he only played one full season with Inter with a scoring average greater than 1 goal per game.

History repeats itself?

It seems as there is something like an Inter United curse and that the team is destined to never be a champion. Besides the two lost finals, in the history of the team there are two other semifinal performances in which Inter was a clear dominator and in which many scoring opportunities were missed. On the right, the video clip of the game on Sunday November 4 2007 against Dunesday. To the left, the game on March 3 2005 agains Colibrí, were exactly the same thing happened.

Triumphant return of Inter United

Inter United returned to the field after a long absence and rapidly retook the winning path that has characterized the team. It was the 61st victory in team's history. A well played game and a lot of joy in the stands and also the constant company of Don Miki. Practically no one noted that it had been almost two years since the team last played together. The score is just an anecdote as the simple fact of getting back together was a victory for the players. Each one looked in that hidden spot in their closet for their blue and black jersey that for so long had been picking up dust and wore it again with the same enthusiasm as always in the past. Talking about the game, it was a well played contest in which every player showed a good level. The score could have been more ample since the absence of our goalie was notorious and our rivals were able to take advantage of the poor genes and deficient nutrition of the underdeveloped countries as Valencia's goals would have never been scored if John Tschohl had been in goal.

Our new players

Inter United missed Jorge Garzón and John Tschohl as well as all the other friends who for whatever reason will not be able to be part of this season but was glad to meet two new players who now come to enlarge Inter's family. There have now been 71 players who have defended our colors. Also Jorge Brenes is the first player from Costa Rica to play for Inter United, raising to 17 the number of countries represented in the team. Rodrigo Fuentes extended the dominance of Colombian players in the team roster and would have been a candidate for the Plyer of the Week award if we were still doing that voting, a recognition hard to make since Peter Trofin scored three goals while Rodrigo saved at least six. Welcome to out two new family members.
