Volunteer Leadership

We at Pack 443 encourage our parents to take this opportunity to get involved with your youth through the Cub Scouting program.  While today's demands limit the time we have available, support and involvement can take many forms.  Involvement can be as small as providing ideas for pack events, to acting as a helper during pack events, to doing a presentation about your career or hobby.  Or, if you choose, you can make larger contributions from  coordinating an event once a year to becoming a full Adult Leader.   All participation is appreciated.  What is important is that parents get involved with their son's experience.  If you can contribute, please contact the pack leadership.

Nationwide, thousands of volunteer leaders, both men and women, are involved in the Cub Scout program. They serve in a variety of positions, as everything from unit leaders to pack committee chairmen, committee members, den leaders, and chartered organization representatives.

Chartering Organization

Like other phases of the Scouting program, a Cub Scout pack belongs to an organization with interests similar to those of the BSA. This organization, which might be a church, school, community organization, or group of interested citizens, is chartered by the local BSA council to use the Scouting program. This chartered organization provides a suitable meeting place, adult leadership, supervision, and opportunities for a healthy Scouting life for the boys under its care. Each organization appoints one of its members as a chartered organization representative. The organization, through the pack committee, is responsible for providing leadership, the meeting place, and support materials for pack activities.

Pack 443 is Chartered by The Concerned Citizens of Gombert Elementary School.
