Holly Gizzi — Lead Vocals

Holly Gizzi

Holly is the newest Inquiring Mind - she previously sang in many of Philadelphia's top r&b/soul bands before moving to Baltimore last year. She has also performed in musical theatre, acoustic duos, variety groups and done commercial voice over work. Her powerful, soulful, bluesy voice & presence have been getting rave reviews from local audiences making the Inquiring Minds one of the most entertaining party bands in the area.

Vince Mazzitti — Guitar & Vocals

Vince Mazzitti

Vince is one of the finest guitar players in the area. He graduated from Towson University where he studied jazz and classical guitar. He plays all styles from classic rock to modern jazz and has performed with various free lance jazz & fusion groups, Modern Stance (original rock), the Curve (classic rock), & Flying Z (classic rock). Vince's gear choices are Fender & Hamer guitars through Line 6 amps. He joined the Inquiring Minds in 2001.

Brent Mingle (aka Dr. Albino) — Bass & Vocals

After attending Berklee School of Music, Brent toured and played with many national and regional acts over the years. Some are- Osiris (Warner Bros. ), Root Boy Slim And The Sex Change Band ( Warner Bros.), the Untouchables (Top 40 Show) the Persuaders (Louisiana R & B),Red Dog Blues Band, and the Stretch Capital Jazz Band. He has also made appearances with Sam & Dave, Tommy Roe and The Ron Holloway/Julia Nixon group. He is the founder of the Inquiring Minds and also acts as producer, recording engineer, writer and arranger of their musical projects.

Wayne Johnson — Drums & Vocals

Wayne Johnson

Wayne is the funk and roll backbone of the Inquiring Minds. After 2 years at Morgan State, Wayne formed Counterpoint, a northeast regional r & b/jazz/blues group. After 12 years touring and playing with them, Wayne started playing with Brent in the Persuaders, Red Dog Blues Band, Dr. Albino & Friends and The Stretch Capitol Jazz Band. In the late 90's Wayne helped form the Inquiring Minds and has been with them ever since. Wayne is also Assistant Director of the Loyola College based Sax summer music and dance camp. It is a community arts project camp headed by jazz saxophonist Carl Grubbs that introduces and teaches jazz to young musicians.

Greg Thompkins

The Inquiring Minds add guest musicians for various musical events . One of our current favorites is saxophonist Greg Thompkins. Greg has performed with the AllMighty Senators, Brian Jack, Ten Directions, The Persuaders ,The New Volcanoes, and many other local jazz , blues and rock acts.
