Iris On Mountain Stage!
Iris was a featured artist on "The Mountain Stage" in Charleston, West Virginia. "Mountain Stage" is a West Virginia Public Radio broadcast.  (Your webmaster was able to attend the taping in August.)  It was broadcast in October 2004.  You may be able to catch it on re-broadcasts.  It is worth hearing.  Iris performed new songs from the upcoming "Lifeline" CD; as well as unreleased (as of yet) songs.

Iris Working On Gospel Album!
According to the 02/07/2003 CMT.Com Feature "Hot Talk" by Edward Morris, Iris is working on a gospel album which is being produced by Jim Rooney.

New 11/24/2002!  Iris Marries!
Singer/songwriters Greg Brown and Iris Dement, exchanged vows and were married in a small, sweet ceremony in Dement's hometown of Kansas City, Mo. Nov. 21.
Dement recently contributed a beautiful rendition of "The Train Carrying Jimmie Rodgers Home" for The Breast Cancer Fund CD, Going Driftless: An Artist's Tribute to Greg Brown.  Greg has been singing Iris's "When My Morning Comes Around" at his recent concerts across the country.
The couple will spend time at each of their homes in Kansas City and in southern rural Iowa, where Brown recently built a house on his grandparents' homestead. -- Country Standard Time Country News
