By "special request", I am placing here a page of assorted links to
sites dealing with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and other related
eating disorders. If you have any sites you think I should check out and
add here, please email me at jfutter@whately.com.
Note: Since putting a new counter on this page 2/24/02, I see that there
are a lot more of you checking this page than I would have known by the
counter on my home page. Time to put a little extra work into this one....
Hope some of the sites with the "NEW!" logo are of interest! (As well as
all the others!!)
Don't forget to follow the path to the other sites in the Unbinding
the Body Betrayed Web Ring! You'll find a lot of great sites there that
I just haven't added links to!

One of the main reasons I created this page originally was to help my friend
Tara Sheehan, and her family, work through her struggle with anorexia.
This past Monday, February 25, Tara finally found peace and passed on in
Aurora, CO. She was 25.
Born Nov. 11, 1976, in Dover Del., she was the daughter
of John and Maureen Sheehan of Southampton, MA.
Hospitalized most of last year for her illness, she had moved
to Aurora three months ago to attend a treatment program for eating disorders.
Ms. Sheehan was a spiritual and determined woman who fought
her illness with great resolve...
Despite her long illness, Ms.Sheehan enjoyed life. She loved
running and was a member of the 1991 Williston
cross-country team that won the New England Championship.
She enjoyed horseback riding, skiing and Irish step dancing.
An Irish Blessing May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face May the rains fall soft upon your fields And until we meet again May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
The Center, Inc. is a full treatment center for eating disorders, anger
management, sexual abuse, alcohol and drug treatment, family issues, stress
and much more.
A program at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Maryland, dedicated to
the treatment of eating disorders. Communicate directly with the professionals
there via email.
...a referral service and provider of clinical and educational services
to individuals, families, and organizations in the Western Massachusetts
area...
A very nicely done site, set up by someone who has been there. Check especially
the long international list of resources where you can find professional
assistance.
"came into being in 2001, when Eating Disorders Awareness & Prevention
(EDAP) joined forces with the American Anorexia Bulimia Association (AABA)
to create the largest eating disorders prevention and advocacy organization
in the world."
As of June 26, 1997, the National Library
of Medicine opened its MEDLINE database, with over 8 million references,
to the public, free of charge, via the W.W.W. Searching for "Anorexia Nervosa"
locates over 5700 citations....
