PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 

·       Introduced and implemented CNC technology to otherwise manual machine shops.

·       Wrote several custom software packages for CAM (g-code interpreter), job tracking, cost estimating, multi-machine DNC (Direct Numeric Control) routing, etc.

·       Managed a two-week Beta test for I-Deas Generative Machining in Cincinnati that included customers from around the world. Of about ten product lines tested, Generative Machining received the highest awards, acclaim and commitment.

·       Spent three weeks at a customer site integrating unrelated software packages into a seamless design to manufacture operation. This included a great deal of customization, software development and training but the end result was bringing a real design to actual stamped part … and a letter of high regard for myself.

Product Manager

·       Managed development and marketing of SmartCAM Advanced Fabrication with a keen eye toward return on investment, market notoriety and competition.

·       Managed a world wide reseller chain for Advanced Fabrication to include marketing collateral, tradeshows, presentations, conferences, OEM’s, contracts and associates.

·       Planned development activity within resource constraints of other concurrent products/projects.

·       Planned and executed marketing strategies.

·       Designed, developed and documented user interface(s).

·       Designed functionality for the stamping and cutting industry to include Laser and Water Jet  technologies and adding functionality for new or improved manufacturing techniques.

·       Planned for product and market space for up to ten years.

·       Began planning a new product line in automated sheetmetal forming.

·       Managed some of the ancillary products that accompanied our primary products.

 

Application Development Engineer

·       Research and develop design ideas based on current customer needs and market trends.

·       Investigated competitor strengths (and weaknesses).

·       Developed automated tests for new functionality.

·       Worked closely with Technical Documentation for accuracy and content.

·       Liaison between customer support and software engineering.

·       Won several Customer Service Awards for software implementation, integration, process improvement(s) and software/process training.

·       Developed and documented productivity tools that worked with our software.

·       Develop and maintained a huge automated regression test suite.
