Heat index, dew point, and wind chill calculator, version 1.02
==============================================================
Version 1.02 December 19, 2007
This is a simple Windows program to calculate the heat index and dew point given the relative humidity and temperature, and the wind chill given the temperature and wind speed. Simply execute the program from anywhere to run it. You can make a short-cut to it, but it does not currently install itself in your programs list or programs folder. The program requires 800x600 or higher screen resolution.
Heat index and dew point
------------------------
The relativity is entered in percent and the temperature can be entered in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. You can enter the temperature and relative humidity into the fields or use the up and down arrows on the left to change the value in the field by five and the up and down arrows on the right to change the field by one. Use the radio button to select Fahrenheit or Celsius input.
If you enter the data directly into the fields, then press the Enter key, the Tab key, or click on the “Calculate” button to calculate the results. If you use the up and down arrow keys, the data is automatically recalculated.
Wind chill
----------
A button on the main page takes you to a screen for calculating the wind chill. Temperature is entered as above. Wind speed can be entered in miles per hour, kilometers per hour, meters per second, or knots. If you enter the data directly, then press the Enter key, the Tab key, or click on the “Calculate” button to calculate the results. If you use the up and down arrow keys, the data is automatically recalculated.
The program is free for non-commercial use.
