Civil Action Project

This Webquest is based on the Civic Action Project, an education program run by Dr. Anthony Perry at Henry Ford Community College. The Civic Action Project brings together college and high school students to participate in an agenda building exercise. Students meet and discuss their issues with other students from diverse backgrounds. They learn to compromise, persuade, and prioritize. As students voice their concerns, they learn to compromise and prioritize, in order to form coalitions and initiate change in their communities. The day culminates in the students’ developing a final student agenda to be presented to political representatives.
