Each member of the group must research the two issues he or she has selected. The Links page links to search engines to help you with this task. As you research your issues, be sure to distinguish between facts and opinion regarding the issues. Facts must be supported by research, documents, or other evidence. For each issue, be prepared to answer the following questions:

  1. What does the government or community need to do to address or resolve these issues?
  2. Are there any groups trying to address or resolve this issue? If so, give an example and explain what they are doing.
  3. What can you, as students, do right now to help address or resolve these issues? What can you do in the future?
