1. Write a letter to a government official(s) who may influence this issue. Be sure to describe the issue, your position on the issue, and the steps you want the government to take. Ask your parents, other relatives, and other students to write letters or to add their signature to your letter.
  2. Research candidates running for political office. Find a candidate who embraces your position on the issue. Volunteer for his/her campaign.
  3. Arrange to have a government official(s) speak to your class regarding the issue.
  4. Volunteer for a community organization or community project that affects the issue.
  5. Create a website to educate others about the issue.
