Amy

Amy Ann was born August 15, 1975 and is the youngest of the Vitelli brood. She was a very happy and feisty girl from her first day.
Amy was baptized a month later at St. Joseph' Church in W. St. Paul, Minnesota. On the left Amy is pictured with grandparents Phil, Angnes, Leona and John.

Here are a few photos taken during the last few months of 1975 and at Christmas that year.

At the left is Amy at Easter 1976 and on the right dressed in a pretty pink dress with her oldest sister Vicki.

Amy just loved the water and became a great swimmer. Here she enjoys her first trip to "the lake" in July 1976. We spent a week at Kabekona Lake Resort just north of Walker Minnesota on Kabekona Lake.

Then Amy celebrated her first birthday on August 15, 1976. She awoke early in the morning that day with a big, big smile anticipating all the wonderful things that Mom told her would happen on her birthday.

Amy often took swims in the back yard pool or ran through the sprinkler at 1750 Vivian Lane in W. St. Paul. She loved the water.
Then came Easter 1977 and her second birthday on August 15, 1977.

Halloween was a very special event because Amy loved to dress up in costumes. On the right she clowns with brother Mark.

And then came Christmas of 1977. Amy was all smiles ALL DAY. The first picture however shows Amy with her brother Joe standing beside the Vitelli Christmas tree. Then Amy and sister Lori smile as they put out some cookies and juice for Santa and Santa Mouse. Finally, sugar plums danced in Amy's head as she settled down for a long Christmas Eve nap. Amy always loved going to bed.

Then came Christmas morning. Amy and brother Joe were first downstairs to see what nice things Santa Claus brought during the night. Amy received a beautiful blue dress that made her so happy. Then at Christmas dinner Amy gives a real guffaw as she joked with sister Lori at the dinner table.

Amy always loved and excelled in sports. She was still very small but loved to play baseball with brother Joe. Then she grew enough that she was able to join a youth soccer team. Here she is pictured with brothers Joe and Mark and sister Lori in the summer of 1981 when she was still only six years old.

Then came Amy's first communion and she is pictured here with grandparents John, Leona, Angnes and Phil.

Amy celebrates her 10th birthday in 1985. Then her 27th and 30th birthdays. She holds her newly born niece Maria.

The many faces of Amy.

Amy's education culminated with a Master of Science degree in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven, Connecticut.
But her education started at St. Joseph's Elementary School in W. St. Paul in Kindergarten. In 6th grade Amy moved to Koenigstein, Germany with her parents and attended the Frankfurt International School for two years. On return from Germany, Amy attended a full four years at Cretin-Derham Hall High School where she graduated. She then went to the University of Minnesota and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Cell Biology. Below Amy is pictured in the Forensics Lab at the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension where she has worked since graduating from New Haven. She specializes in DNA analysis and blood spatter analysis.

Family is important to Amy. Here she is pictured with sister Lori, brother Mark and grandparents John and Leona.
